“Imagine a world where women don’t have to live quietly. Where our voices are heard and our stories told. For the grandmothers, daughters, and sisters. It’s our time.”
Shelby Wilkie, LCSW
Call today for a free 15 min. consultation with a licensed therapist to find out how Her Story will be able to serve you!
You’re getting by. You have that career and/or family that you always wanted. And that’s great! But you’re not necessarily happy…and definitely not excited by your life. You might even feel like your life doesn’t resemble you. The roles of wife, daughter, sister, mother, nurse, therapist, teacher (etc.) have taken over.
I want to give you a place to tell your story so that you can feel seen. I can provide that in the context of our therapeutic relationship. I believe that therapy is best done in sweats while drinking your favorite coffee. I also believe that there’s a great power in women facilitating healing for other women. I have done the work to navigate my own healing so that you have access to the guidance you will need while creating a life you actually love.
Individual Therapy
Shelby Wilkie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who focuses on helping women reclaim their stories. She provides her services on a sliding scale that you can ask about during your free 15min consultation! Shelby uses an emotionally focused approach and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help women learn more about themselves and the emotional patterns that might be getting in their way. When women know who they are and how their emotions work, they can make informed decisions about what they want out of life and, in turn, take back their power.
Group Opportunities will be coming soon! Both psychoeducational and processing groups will be offered to women virtually and in person.
Shelby is also available for speaking engagements!

“Healing is an act of love. Not just to yourself but to everyone around you. Women healing themselves and loving themselves right now is radical. If we can be brave enough to accept the task, we become a part of a rebellion against the suffering. The world might get a little better. Our sisters a little louder. Our children a little safer.”
-Shelby Wilkie, LCSW
Shelby has been in the field for 6 years helping children and families from all across the country. She has especially enjoyed working with women/mothers and has always had a passion for women’s rights. Shelby started “Her Story” in the hopes that she could combine her two favorite things; therapy and social justice.
